EYFS Venture Out

4th May 2019

The Early Years children left school full of excitement for their trip out on 3rd May.

They set off on the bus full of chatter and nervous energy, to visit Mt. Kenya Animal Orphanage. The purpose of the trip was for the children to learn about the endangered Mountain Bongo and other animals at the orphanage.

The little conservationists engaged with great enthusiasm in a variety of activities including: taking photos of the animals; recording how many species they saw; and, asking questions to learn more about the animals.

The trip ended with a fun picnic at a breathtakingly beautiful site within the Mount Kenya conservancy facing mountain.

The trip was a perfect way to support the development of the children and adults’ appreciation for nature and the environment.
